UnderMountain Golf Course, Copake, NY
The Salisbury Winter Sports Association (SWSA) invites everyone to its 18th Annual Golf Tourney and Pig Roast, Saturday, September 19th, at UnderMountain Golf Course in Copake, NY. Rain date is Sunday, September 20th.
The tournament runs as two 18-hole flights, one teeing off at 9am and the other at 2pm, and is limited to 50 two-member teams — so grab a partner and sign up early.
The $110 per-player entry fee covers greens fees, on-course beverages, and a hearty pig roast dinner to cap off the day — and there will be cash and other prizes for the golfers who bring their best game.
You don't need snow on the ground to help SWSA's young ski jumpers. Every dollar raised on the course in September goes right back into SWSA's youth skiing programs at Satre Hill for the winter ahead.
Founded in 1976 by Jack Shakshober, who carved a nine-hole layout out of the family farm, UnderMountain is still family-run today by his daughter Trish MacArthur, her husband John, and granddaughter Sarah. Alternate tees turn the nine holes into a full round, with small, meticulously kept greens and narrow fairways that reward a careful game — all set against views of the Taconic Range to the east and the Catskills to the west.
UnderMountain has hosted SWSA's tournament for years running, and we're grateful for their continued partnership in support of youth skiing at Satre Hill.
Field is capped at 50 two-member teams. Call the UnderMountain clubhouse or email SWSA to reserve your spot — every dollar raised benefits SWSA's youth skiing programs.
